Discover here how to enjoy a fabulous bike
ride around the Imperial Palace in Tokyo every Sunday … at no cost.

The Palace Cycling Course is surrounded
by enchanting castle moats and pine trees.
It covers about 3 km from Iwaida Gate Bridge in Hirakawa
and provides people of all ages and families
with an ideal place for fitness and relaxation.
which also helps preserving nature
and the beautiful environment of the area.

Cost:
FREE

WHEN:
– From 10:00 to 15:00 every Sunday
– Closed on rainy days
and days when special events take place.

WHERE:
– About a 3-minute walk from Exit 2 of Nijubashi station
on the Chiyoda subway line
– About a 15-minute walk from the Marunouchi side
of JR Tokyo Station

HOW:
Fill in and submit the application form given to you
at the bicycle reception desk.
Bikes are loaned on a “first-come, first-served” basis
and can be used only within the established cycling course
around the Imperial Palace.

HOW MANY:
A total of 150 bicycles, including city bikes, mama-chari,
tandem and children’s bikes.
Infant’s bicycles are also available
and can be used exclusively in the “Kids’ Corner”
by infants accompanied by their guardians at any time.
Visually impaired people can enjoy the ride in tandem,
with the assistance of a staff member.
